Free fonts are a beautiful thing. For those with a love of typography, I’ve compiled a list of 25 typeface released in 2011.
Some of the font authors have been busy little bees. There are quite a few by Måns Grebäck of Mawns Typography. If you like his work, hop on over to his blog and leave a comment to thank him for all of his hard work.
I find it so nice that many font authors release their works free for download so you can try them. Many that are free for personal use may be used commercially if you make a donation to the author, which may be as little as $5. It just depends on each author’s terms. Each author has their own terms defining the line between personal and commercial. Some are totally free for commercial use with no restrictions.
Last but not least, Enjoy!

Thanks for doing all the detective work & finding all these goodies!
You're welcome Casey! I think I'm officially a font addict, lol. I can think of worse vices.
This one is new to me, and definitely a favorite. I think I'm going to have to buy it when I get some extra $: Andrano. I definitely have a thing for circus fonts.
My next task which will likely take some time, is to learn more about typography in general.
Cheers,
Sü
Thanks so much, however, I am having a hard time getting my pc to install them, I keep copying and trying to paste them after I unzip into my font folder but it won't take…….any ideas?
BTW, on my blog my linkie has a font, that I had years and computers ago and no longer have……if I sent you the linkie think you could locate the font, I wish I had documented the name of the font, cause I can't find one that looks like it any where!
@MagnoliaWhisper
If you just double click on the font file in windows it will pull up a font viewer which has a button to install the font. Sometimes you have to restart your computer for it to view in graphic design programs.
I use a free app called nexus font manager in windows, which helps one organize fonts if you have a lot of them and don't want to install them all. This app, when it's running makes the fonts immediately useable. I've found that it does not work for gimp though, but every other application.
Sure, send the link and I can see if I can find the font. 🙂 I'd love to take a look! Good Luck!
I love ur blog!!!
keep posting ^_^
TQ so much
